What do data hide: course by KSE professors

This course is designed for those who aims to understand how to approach and analyze data more proficiently, which implications can and cannot follow from the data, how to test hypotheses and use the data for decision making



Target audience:

  • marketing, sales, HR professionals, analysts, and others;
  • analysts from civic organizations and journalists;
  • scientists and researchers;
  • students and Ph.D. students with different social science majors (economics, psychology, sociology, political science, history etc.).


This course is for those who want:

  • to be in line with the current world trends, which are data-based;
  • to know how to “read” data and find insights about it;
  • to analyze critically and interpret data in order to arrive at right conclusions and make efficient economic and business decisions.

At the course you will be taught: 

  • to use data for forecasting;
  • to identify the most common mistakes in data analysis;
  • to analyze a contemporaneous effect of several different factors;
  • to distinguish between types of data and describe;
  • to test hypotheses and understand which problems can arise at this stage;
  • to differ correlation from causation.

Duration and course format:

  • 6 evening classes (3-hour-long) – from 18:30 to 21:30 (Oct 8, 15, 22, 29, Nov 5, 12)
  • homeworks + exam (online-test)
  • language – Ukrainian

Upon a successful completion of the course, every participant will get a certificate.



  • before September 30 – 4750 UAH
  • from Oct 1 to Oct 8 – 5250 UAH
  • partial payment: 50% till course start + 50% in the middle of the course – 2625 UAH + 2625 UAH
